ASIAN AUTO ALLIANZ INDUSTRY AWARDS HONOURS OUTSTANDING VEHICLES

• The 7^th annual Asian Auto Industry Awards honoured 16 outstanding vehicles
• Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad is the title sponsor once again
• Awards attended by 30 active car brands in Malaysia

The Asian Auto Industry Awards is back again for the 7^th year, partnering with Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad once again. Asian Auto ALLIANZ Auto Industry Awards 2014 celebrates outstanding contributions by local and international car brands in the automotive industry. 15 marques were honoured at the award ceremony from the 16 categories presented.

The award ceremony was graced by the attendance of representatives from 30 car brands that are active in the Malaysian market. They have also given much contribution to the industry.

A thorough evaluation was conducted over the past 12 months and each vehicle was being test-driven by Asian Auto team.  A list of strict criteria was taken into account during the evaluation such as quality aspects, assembly processes, customers’ level of acceptance and also an overall evaluation towards the vehicle.

Hyundai took home two trophies that night with the ‘Best Value for Money SUV’ category and also ‘Best Value for Money Executive Car’ with its Santa Fe and i40 Sedan respectively. The Mercedez Benz A45 AMG took home the ‘Best Performance Luxury Sports Car’ award while Honda Odyssey won the ‘Best Value for Money Family MPV’ award.  Suzuki Swift SPORT proves to be a favourite among the younger generation of drivers, winning the ‘Best Value for Money Sports Car’ category. The top winner of the night was Mazda who walked away with the ‘Car of The Year’ award for its sleek and stylish Mazda3 Sedan.

Continuing its support for the Asian Auto Industry Awards, once again Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad is the title sponsor. Allianz prides itself as the most trusted provider of financial services to suit the lifetime needs of Malaysians. BROS, a new sponsor of the Asian Auto Industry Awards is a renowned local company that develops and manufactures reusable water bottles. All BROS products carry trendy, unique and colorful design.

3. Best Performance Luxury Sports Car – Mercedes Benz A45 AMG
4. Best Local Assembled Compact Car – Perodua Alza Advanced
5. Best Local Assembled SUV – Mitsubishi ASX
6. Best Local Assembled Family Car – Renault Fluence
7. Best Local Assembled Hatchback – Volvo V40 T4
8. Best Value For Money Pickup Truck – Isuzu D-Max 3.0L Auto 4×4

9. Best Value For Money Family MPV – Honda Odyssey
10. Best Value For Money SUV – Hyundai Santa Fe
11. Best Value For Money Luxury Car – Lexus ES250
12. Best Value For Money Sports Car – Suzuki Swift SPORT
13. Best Value For Money Hot Hatch – Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost
14. Best Value For Money Executive Car – Hyundai i40 Sedan
15. Best Value For Money Family Car – Volkswagen Jetta CKD
16. Car Of The Year 2014 – Mazda3 Sedan
