BMW 225d To Receive Revised 2-litre Diesel
It appears as if the BMW 2-Series Coupe will be receiving a new diesel engine. The new 2-litre unit will go to the 225d model in particular which now uses a slightly underpowered powerplant of the same displacement.
The new engine utilises twin-turbocharges to generate 225 PS, up from 218 PS. Maximum torque remains at 450Nm but will be available at a wider rev range. Expect the average fuel consumption to also remain at 4.5l/100km thanks to the 8-speed ZF-sourced automatic gearbox.
