Audi welcomes the new RS3 Sportback to the world
Most car advertisements we see nowadays are pretty mediocre. Occasionally we find some very good ones that really stand out from the crowd, like Volkswagen’s series of commercials during the Superbowl a few years ago, along with Mazda’s series of videos on their culture and the spirit of Jinba Ittai.
But every now and then, the weird ones appear. The ones that really make you question whether a manufacturer has their head on straight. In this video we see the ‘birth’ of the Audi RS3 Sportback, which is a pretty sick hot hatchback based on the MQB platform. In essence it’s a Golf R with a different engine and a lot more power.
We get the message: all Audis have some kind of connection to their halo car, the R8, whether it be switchgear or design styling. But watching an RS3 pop out of the back of an R8 all ‘Aliens’ style is something you can’t really unsee.
