Leaked Images of Facelifted Land Cruiser and LX 570
More Toyota leaks this week as not only did we get a small glimpse of the facelifted Toyota Land Cruiser’s front fascia, but the upcoming Lexus LX 570 facelift as well. Both off-roaders are of course closely related, with the Lexus being a Luxury version of the Land Cruiser.
The image we have of the Toyota comes off an Arabic YouTube clip, and is really quite grainy. It does show a very rugged looking face with a chrome strip running from the grille that separates the twin projector headlights from the line of LED daytime running lights. It’s a rather square affair for the Land Cruiser, and that’s not exactly expected especially since its sedans have adopted sportier looks that are littered with curves.
The Lexus on the other hand is almost exactly what you’d expect. In fact, Lexus goes a bit wild with its trademark grille. Look at it, there’s barely any body-coloured metal round the front. Its signature boomerang-shaped lights and DRLs make an appearance here as well, but it really takes a while to get used to here whereas on the NX200t, it looks right at home with the angular bodywork.
Both cars will probably have large displacement engines generating horsepower in the high 300s and autonomous emergency braking as standard. This system applies the brakes to avoid running into pedestrians. More on these two large siblings in August, when official statements are made.
