Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Runs for a Great Cause at tHe Spring Live Active Run 2015
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) recently participated in tHe Spring Live Active Run 2015, a program aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among city folks. tHe Spring’s Live Active Run is the largest community event in Sarawak and MMM is one of its proud sponsors since 2012. The event was recognised as “The Most Popular Lifestyle Fitness Event in Sarawak in 2013 and was part of the “Visit Sarawak Year 2014”. This year, the event attracted more than 4,600 participants.
MMM ran for the third year with efforts to raise funds for three charitable organisations namely the Kuching Autistic Association (KAA), Special Olympics Sarawak and Persatuan Dialisis Cahaya Kuching.
The run was led by Chief Executive Officer of MMM Mr. Won-Chul Yang; including members from Mitsubishi authorised dealers EON Auto Mart and Jimisar Autotrade, Kuching.
During the event, MMM also showcased the newly launched all-new Triton, the fifth generation of a successful line of pick-up trucks produced by Mitsubishi Motors for 37 years. The all-new Triton has been developed to be the “Ultimate Sport Utility Truck”, combining the comfortable interior of a passenger car with the functionality and reliability of a pickup.
Just as the previous generation of the Triton set new standards in the pick-up segment, its successor also brings to the segment first-in-class features such as Push Start Button, Keyless Operation, Xenon HID Headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights, Tilt and Telescopic Steering and Paddle Shifters for manual control of the automatic transmission when the driver wants it.
Best-in-class features include most powerful in its class engine performance with maximum output of 178 horsepower, maximum torque of 400Nm and a turning radius of 5.9 metres. Subsequently, new features in the all-new Triton include 4WD selector, Touch Screen Audio System with Reverse Camera, Auto Headlamps and Wipers, and Dual Zone Climate Control.

The all-new Triton, imported as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) vehicle from Mitsubishi Motors’ global production hub in Thailand, is available in five variants for the Malaysian market. The following prices (without insurance, GST inclusive for private registration) are quoted for the all-new Triton in Sarawak:

The all-new Triton comes with 2 Years of Free Maintenance and a factory warranty of 3 years or the first 100,000 km.
MMM is represented by 58 showrooms (out of which 50 are 3S Centres) and 54 service outlets throughout Malaysia. New target by end of FY2015 is 65 outlets. Since 2005, MMM has sold more than 88,000 units of vehicles in Malaysia. The ASX 2WD and 4WD compact SUV is locally assembled in Malaysia while the other Mitsubishi models are imported as CBU (Completely Built-Up) units from Thailand (compact hatchback Mirage, compact sedan Attrage, Pajero Sport SUV, Triton pick-ups) and Japan (Lancer).
