Malaysia’s first Volkswagen Stand-Alone Body & Paint Centre launched
There are distinct advantages to buying a car from an official importer, as opposed to a grey importer. While a grey importer may be able to offer better prices on the same model, they also have no guarantee on the condition of the car- and rarely are there warranty terms, nor is there a service network. On cars of old this isn’t such a large problem; most workshops can handle the usual wear and tear issues, and most body shops can repair the dings and dents you may pick up. But as cars become newer and more complex, special tools and techniques are necessary to restore a car to it’s original glory. An official importer is obliged to provide these services as part of your ownership experience, and an internal body and paint shop is the most effective way to repair damage.
Spanning over 50,967 sqft with a total of 20 service bays and 15 trained specialists, this new stand-alone body & paint centre covers services such as minor and major body repairs, chassis realignment, genuine parts, windscreen replacements, body spray and paintjobs while also assisting Volkswagen owners with their insurance claims. All repairs and paintjobs done are in accordance and compliant to the standards set by Volkswagen Group Malaysia as well as by the government bodies such as JPJ and PUSPAKOM.
The centre also has advanced tools and equipment such as a chassis realignment machine with a computerized chassis measuring repair system and spray booths with infrared heaters that controls the temperature, humidity while ensuring a dust free environment for top quality paint finishing. Wing Hin also provides a 12 month warranty for all paintjobs done. Volkswagen owners are advised to send their vehicles to an authorized Body and Paint Centre to ensure that only genuine parts and compliant services are carried out to their vehicles. This also ensures that their warranties are intact.
