Subaru Levorg and XV Crosstek Now Available from Motor Image Malaysia
Motor Image Malaysia, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles, has unveiled their two latest models – the all-new Subaru Levorg and new Subaru XV Crosstrek – at Subaru roadshow event in Mid Valley Megamall, Centre Court.
The name ‘Levorg’ derives from a combination of the words ‘Legacy’, ‘Revolution’ and ‘Touring’, offering customers a vehicle that combines the performance and practicality of a tourer, with the stylish design and feel of a sports car.

- Newly developed Subaru’s 1.6-litre Direct Injection Turbo (DIT) Boxer Engine
- Exquisite and stylish design of a sports tourer with an abundant load capacity
The Subaru Levorg will come in one option:
- 1.6GT-S – 1.6-Litre, 4-Cylinder DIT, Boxer Engine, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD)
- Priced at RM199,720 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM202,944 for East Malaysia (On-the- road price with GST excluding insurance)
Subaru prides itself on its unique approach in combining sports and touring performances into one vehicle. The brand new ‘Innovative Tourer’ Levorg is the fruit of Subaru’s ongoing commitment to offer customers with a luxurious and spacious car that is capable of spirited long-distance driving.
Inspired by the EJ25 (2.5L NA) found in the Legacy 2.5i, Subaru’s engineers aimed to develop a better engine with enhanced fuel economy and performance. The newly developed 1.6-litre Horizontally-Opposed DIT boxer engine offers both brisk driving pleasure and superb fuel performance of 7.4-litre/100km, combined. Fuel efficiency is enhanced by Subaru’s first adoption of DIT combined with a low displacement engine. Turbo lag is also almost non-existent with peak torque of 250nm being delivered at 1,800rpm all the way to 4,800rpm.
The Levorg’s sleek styling befits a sports tourer but cargo space remains functional and roomy, designed with the expertise gained from years of developing wagons. While keeping the exterior size nimble, the Levorg has achieved the largest cargo space of 522-litre with Subaru’s innovative engineering. The front bumper features Subaru’s unique hexagon grille and hawk eye headlights. Other attractions include its quality interior with finesse obvious in even the smallest parts, maximised utility, first-class driving comfort, and an exhilarating steering experience.
The Levorg 1.6GT-S is equipped with High Beam Assist which toggles between the high and low beam automatically according to the road conditions (above 35km/h), improving dusk visibility.
Both the active and passive safety features in the Levorg have also been enhanced. Subaru has been refining and upgrading the Symmetrical AWD for years. With Symmetrical AWD, combined with an advanced Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system and Active Torque Vectoring (ATV), an exceptional all-round safety was achieved providing drivers with security and confidence. As a result, the Levorg’s handling is agile and nimble regardless of the road condition.
Additionally, the Levorg is installed with the Emergency Stop Signal which quickly flashes the hazard warning lights when the vehicle makes an abrupt deceleration from high speed. It also warns the cars behind it of rapid approach and collision risk. To protect pedestrians, the front hood and bulkhead are built in an impact-absorbing structure and impact absorbents are placed in the engine compartment side. The new Subaru XV Crosstrek with its stunning visual aesthetics serves to take the Subaru XV one step further.

The dynamic crossover comes with 2.0-litre four-cylinder Horizontally-Opposed Boxer Engine that produces 150PS of horsepower, 196Nm of torque while maintaining a fuel economy of just 7.9 litres per 100km and the manoeuvrability of the Subaru signature Symmetrical AWD. Wrapped in a sporty-luxurious finish, the model comes standard with the exclusive XV Crosstrek accessories package, such as front under spoiler, side under spoiler, rear under spoiler, roof spoiler, exclusive Crosstrek edition leather seats and carpet mat.
The new Subaru XV Crosstrek is available in two variants:
- 2.0i and 2.0i-Premium
- Introductory price from RM119,500 for Peninsular Malaysia and RM122,570 for East Malaysia (On-the-road price with GST excluding insurance)
The all-new Subaru Levorg and new Subaru XV Crosstrek are now available for booking at all Subaru Showrooms across Malaysia from 20 July 2016 onwards.
