Although this concept was designed as a machine for racing and rallies, Hyundai is trying to make a point that it is serious about performance. This aggressive-looking concept is powered by high-performance turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is actually under development for N production models. The engine is rated for about 380 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque and is hooked up to a dual clutch transmission with rev matching that sends power to all four wheels. An advanced electronic limited slip differential will help prevent skidding and ensure the hatch remains stable during high-speed cornering.

Hyundai promises the RN30, which was tested and developed at the Nurburgring, will sound really aggressive and that its low center of gravity and lightweight construction will provide a thrilling drive. The RN30 is built on the i30 hatch but gets aerodynamic enhancements and ultra aggressive design cues like massive floating fenders on each wheel, ceramic-coated center-mounted twin exhaust ports, large rear diffuser, side splitters, high-tech headlamps, 19-inch wheels, and a large rear spoiler, among others.
