Perodua Bezza Receives Best Occupant Protection for Child and Adult Award by ASEAN NCAP
Perodua received Best Child Occupant Protection (COP) for small family Car category and Best Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) for small family car category at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards on 29th November 2016.
“These two awards are a recognition of our efforts to always place our customers’ safety and comfort in our products,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
On 16th July 2016, the Bezza was also certified a 5-star rating by ASEAN NCAP, making it the first 5-star EEV national sedan.
The Bezza 1.3L Advance variant comes equipped with a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) which is a safety function that detects and reduces skidding hence allowing the driver to maintain stability while driving.
This variant also comes with Traction Control (TRC) and Brake Assist (BA) which allows the driver to maintain traction on a slippery road. It also has the Hill Start Assist (HSA) that prevents the car from rolling back on slopes when the brakes is released, giving the driver time to switch to the accelerator pedal.
In addition to these safety features, the Bezza variants come equipped with ABS, EBD and also intermittent operated windshield wiper which changes speed in- line with the vehicle’s acceleration (speed sensing wiper). This will further improve the car’s safety features as it improves visibility when driving in the rain.
The Bezza, Perodua’s 11th model and first energy efficient sedan is launched with new technology and safety features.
The sedan comes in 5 variants, the 1.0L manual and automatic; the 1.3L Premium X manual and automatic; and the 1.3L Advance Version automatic.
