2017 Kawasaki Z650 Priced at RM35,609
Kawasaki Motors Malaysia has confirmed that the newly launched Z650 will hit the market with a price of RM35,609 including GST. It will be available in Kawasaki Authorised Premium Dealer showrooms at the end of this month.
The middleweight naked bike was launched in January this year alongside the Z900, Ninja 650 and Versys-X 250 with an estimated price of below than RM37,000.
In terms of looks, the successor to the ER-6n combines aggressive stance and “sugomi” styling elements as seen on the Z900. Sitting underneath the metal sheet is a 15-kg trellis frame that is combined with a 41 mm telescopic fork up front and a horizontal back-link suspension at the rear.
The Z650 is powered by a 649 cc parallel-twin engine that churns out 68 PS at 8,000 rpm and 65.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Changes were made to maximise low to mid range torque, resulting in an ideal performance for daily use. Like the Z900, it is also equipped with slipper clutch.
Available in Lime Green and Titanium, the Z650 comes with dual 300 mm front discs and a single 220 mm rear petal disc, and more importantly Bosch 9.1M compact ABS. The bike also has a multi-function display with a gear position indicator, shift-up indicator and ECO mode.
