AMG GT-based sedan to challenge Panamera
Mercedes-AMG is unveiling its GT sedan concept, a sneak preview of the Benz upcoming AMG GT-based sedan. Just like the Porsche Panamera that was born from the Porsche 911, this Mercedes GT sedan concept looks like a stretched AMG GT coupe. Where the Mercedes wins out is that the standard proportions of the AMG GT already fit for a front-engine car, whereas the 911’s rear-engine shape doesn’t translate as well to sedan form.
The car is most likely based on the AMG GT platform which means it will probably carry a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 and great driving dynamics. We will share more details over the next few days.
