Yamaha YZF-R25 Available in Racing Blue and Matte Black for 2017
Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has announced that the YZF-R25 range will be refreshed with two new colour schemes – Racing Blue and Matte Black – for the year 2017. Meanwhile, the outgoing Matte Grey and Blue options are no longer available.
Other aspects of the quarter-litre sports bike remain the same. Powering it is a 249 cc parallel-twin engine that packs 35.5 hp at 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox is tasked to channel the output to the rear wheel.
The R25 rides on a telescopic fork up front, paired with a monocross suspension at the back. It gets plenty of stopping power from a single disc brake with a double-piston calliper at the front end as well as a single disc brake with a single-piston calliper at the rear.
Also unchanged is the R25’s basic selling price, which comes in at RM20,630.78 (including GST, without road tax, number plate and insurance). The bike is available at all HLYM authorised dealers from today onwards.
