The Ertiga Now Has a Diesel Hybrid Variant in Indonesia
At Gaikindo this year, we saw a few new versions of the Suzuki Ertiga. The most interesting was the diesel hybrid version. The SHVS diesel hybrid technology from Suzuki is quite advanced. It brings 24.52 km/l fuel efficiency, which is 18% better than the regular diesel version. Malaysia, of course, only gets the 1.4-litre petrol engine.
We’re pretty sure Proton isn’t interested in bringing in this model. The logistial nightmare of equiping and training their service centres to deal with HYBRID and DIESEL tech would not make business sense.
Still, it’s pretty interesting to see the kind of powertrain options this vehicle has.
