Volvo S90 Inscription PHEV is now local assembled with a RM368,888 selling price
This all-new Volvo S90 sedan is a bold entry into the luxury sedan market and sets a new standard with superior materials, technology, comfort and class-leading semi-autonomous features. The Volvo S90 combines Scandinavian design with cutting-edge safety and cloud-based applications and services.
The interior makes use of the Sensus Connect touchscreen that debuted in the XC90, providing a clutter-free interior with minimal dashboard buttons. Also included is a premium sound system with an air-ventilated subwoofer integrated into the structure of the car, and a tweeter on the dashboard, this Bowers & Wilkins sound system is at the cutting-edge of technology.
The S90 will follow the current fast growing sales for Volvo Cars in Malaysia, led by the XC90 and V40 hot hatch.
The S90 has taken a big step forward in terms of driving dynamics, performance and ride. Volvo have completely redesigned the Volvo driving experience from the ground up to deliver a sense of precision, engaging control and comfort. This S90 is a large sedan at 4960mm long with a 2940mm wheelbase and a width of 1890mm.
On the technical side this S90 PHEV comes equipped with the same drivetrain and battery as the XC90. That means it comes with AWD with a 2.0-liter petrol engine coupled with a crank-integrated starter generator and 8-speed automatic transmission for the front and a 65 kW electric motor for the rear.
In the middle of the tunnel is a 9.2 kWh lithium-ion battery with just 6.7 kWh usable capacity. The petrol engine alone produces 320hp and 400Nm, those figures rise to 408hp and 640Nm when combined with the performance of the electric motor. The 0-100km/h time is rated at 4.8sec, while all-electric driving range is claimed at 52km.
