Is it Actually the Best Time to Buy a New Car? Here’s Your Answer
Just a couple of weeks ago, Christopher Tan of Edaran Tan Chong Motor commented that now might be the best time to buy a new car. Of course, at the time, there was no announcement about GST or SST. But what he said became true just a few days after his statement. The government announced that GST would be rated at 0% starting 1st June 2018, with some time before SST coming into effect.
So, is it actually the best time to buy a car?
Well, for many car companies, it really is the best time to buy. Here are some car companies that are absorbing 6% GST before the 1st of June 2018.
Nissan, Weststar Maxus, Kia, Haval, Perodua, and some Honda models.
And here are brands that will get cheaper on the 1st of June, which really is basically a week from now:
Mazda, Hyundai, Audi, Volvo, Ford, Mitsubishi, Land Rover, BMW, Toyota & Lexus, Porsche, Renault, Volkswagen, Infiniti, Isuzu and Jaguar.
