Naza Kia Prices Drop between 2.42%-6.7% Until 2021
In line with the Malaysian government’s PENJANA plan, Naza Kia has announced sweeping price reductions to account for sales tax exemptions. The government has waived sales tax by 100% on CKD cars and by 50% on CBU vehicles.
For Kia, locally-assembled vehicles include four variants of the Picanto, their A-segment 5-door hatchback, the Rio, a B-segment 5-door hatchback, the Cerato, a C-segment sedan, the Optima, a D-segment sedan, the Sportage, a mid-sized SUV, the Sorento, a full-sized SUV, and the Grand Carnival, a full-sized MPV. The only fully imported vehicle offered by Naza Kia is the Kia Stinger. Ironically, because it’s the most expensive vehicle here, its 50% sales tax exemption results in the largest price discount of all their vehicles, that is RM14,767.30 or 3.85% of its price.

Naza Automotive Group, the automotive division of Naza Group, announces a new pricelist for vehicles under its automotive brands in line with the Government’s announcement of sales tax exemption for locally-assembled vehicles and tax reduction for imported cars until year-end as part of the national economic stimulus plan, Penjana. The revised pricelist, effective from 15th June 2020 until 31st December 2020, covers the wide range of models offered by Kia, Peugeot, Citroën, and DS brands.
