British cars have no shortage of lovers in Malaysia and Aston Martin, in particular, is a very famous and desirable brand here in Malaysia. Now fans of the brand’s V8 Vantage can possibly enjoy a used unit that was manufactured in 2007 and registered in 2010 for just RM248,000, a huge dip from its original selling price.
Moreover, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage was the second Aston Martin production car based on the VH architecture as already seen on the DB9, but it is the first to use a new 4.3 litre quad cam 32 valve dry sumped V8 engine. Power was quoted at 380bhp and torque was rated at about 409Nm. The used car still has all its original parts too.
This would allow the 1570kg machine a century sprint time of just 4.9 and also get to 160km/h from standstill in 10.7seconds. The engine was unique to Aston Martin but used a Jaguar sourced block with unique internal dimensions. It was hand built alongside the V12 at the Aston Martin Engine Plant in Cologne, Germany.
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was strictly a 2 seater but does have a decently sized boot and plenty of space behind the seats. Being an Aston Martin you also feel like James Bond driving it as the brand is indeed, the brand of choice for the dapper spy and many of the brand’s cars have been prominently featured in the 007 films.
