Perhaps Jetour may offer some of these variants as official body kits for the T1 and T2
While we were in Shanghai with Jetour Auto Malaysia for the 2025 Shanghai Autoshow, the brand was kind enough to display a few different variants each of its popular T1 and T2 off-road SUVs with different vibes and aesthetics. So how many of these will we get in Malaysia or will we only get 1 or 2 variants and these models we see will be offered as official body kits instead?

First things first, the Jetour T2, also known as the Traveller in China, is a rugged SUV built for light off-road adventures. It measures 4,785mm in length, 2,006mm in width, and 1,880mm in height, with a 2,800mm wheelbase. It is also seemingly the more popular model of the 2 SUVs seen as it is bigger than the T1.
Moreover, under the hood, the T2 offers multiple powertrain options, including a FWD 1.5-litre turbo 4 cylinder engine and an AWD 2.0-litre turbo 4 cylinder. The T2 also features Jetour’s X-WD intelligent 4WD system, enhancing off-road capabilities and improving handling. Inside, the T2 is tech packed and very luxurious looking.
Meanwhile, the Jetour T1 is a more compact SUV that balances urban driving with light off-road capabilities. It measures 4,705mm in length, 1,967mm in width and 1,843mm in height, with a 2,800mm wheelbase. This smaller SUV will likely be the more popular choice for off-road enthusiasts in Malaysia as it should be priced much lower.

On top of that, powertrain options for the Jetour T1 include a FWD 1.5-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder making 125kW of power and 270Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DCT and a AWD 2.0-litre turbo-four making 180kW of power and 375Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed auto. The T1 also features the X-WD intelligent 4WD system as well.
Jetour plans to introduce the T2 to the Malaysian market in the third quarter of this year, followed by the T1 in either Q4 of 2025 or early 2026. Initially, both models will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBU), with plans to transition to local assembly (CKD) in the future, similar to the Dashing which was recently launched starting at RM109,800.

While Jetour has showcased multiple variants of the T1 and T2 SUVs, it remains uncertain how many of these variants will be available in the Malaysian market. As Jetour continues to expand in Malaysia, it will be interesting to see which variants make it to our shores and who knows, we may just get all of them as optional body kits that owners can add on. What do you think?
