3rd Generation Audi Q3 Looks Interesting, But Will It Come Here?

The Audi Q3 is now in its 3rd generation and could be coming here next year.

The Audi brand has embarked on a new campaign to sales success in Malaysia. Perhaps it’s a decade too late to the game, but we’re still very interested in seeing what the brand with the four rings has to offer to our market. They’ve already kicked things off with the locally-assembled Q7 3-row SUV, but what could be next?

Well, one possibility is the all-new Audi Q3. The third generation model was just shown globally. The previous generation model was indeed sold here, so it wouldn’t be a stretch for this to be the follow up.

Plus, the Q7’s quite an old product at this point that has been around in some form since 2016. A fresh Q3 could be a good signal to the Malaysian market that the brand is prepared to bring their latest as well as their greatest.

So, what’s new with the 3rd generation Audi Q3?

Visually, the 2025 Audi Q3 stands out with a more emotional and confident design. A wide Singleframe grille, sleek LED headlights, and digital OLED rear lights enhance both style and visibility. For the first time in Audi’s compact class, the Q3 offers digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED modules, enabling adaptive high-resolution lighting and improved driver assistance integration.

Inside, the Q3 transforms into a truly digital companion. A reimagined steering wheel control unit frees up space and features new levers for gear selection and light/wiper control.

An innovative infotainment system, acoustic side glass (a segment-first), and up to 1,386 liters of cargo capacity further enhance everyday usability.

Under the hood, the Q3 offers a range of efficient powertrains. The base model features a 110 kW mild-hybrid petrol engine, while a 110 kW TDI variant is ideal for long-distance driving. A new Q3 e-hybrid boasts a 200 kW output and up to 119 km of all-electric range (WLTP), powered by a 25.7 kWh battery and 50 kW DC fast charging.

The updated suspension options—including adaptive dampers—and new driver assistance systems like Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus and trained parking make the Q3 safer and more dynamic.
