Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia Hosts “Live the Drive” in Kota Bharu – A Weekend of Thrills and Triton Power
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is bringing its thrilling “Live the Drive” experiential event to the outdoor carpark of AEON Kota Bharu this 25–26 July 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The spotlight will be on the legendary Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck, giving Kelantanese drivers the chance to feel its rugged performance in real off-road scenarios.
Built upon Mitsubishi’s renowned off-road heritage, the Triton will tackle a specially-designed test track that highlights its Super Select 4WD-II system, 7-Drive Modes, and all-new rigid frame chassis. The new Triton comes in 5 variants with a 184PS/430Nm of torque 2.4L turbo diesel and 6-speed manual on the most basic Single Cab variant while the full-spec Triton Athlete model comes with a 2.4L MIVEC Diesel that conforms to Euro 5 emissions standards and has 204PS and 470Nm of torque available.
Visitors will get to experience six immersive challenges simulating real-world driving conditions:
- Uneven Rocky Terrain: Showcases grip and control for construction or plantation-like surfaces.
- Elephant Steps: Puts the Triton’s 4LLC low-range gearing to the test.
- Side Ramp: Demonstrates vehicle stability even at a 45-degree tilt.
- Water Wading Challenge: Tests the Triton’s ability to handle up to 700mm of water.
- U-Turn Obstacle Course: Highlights Triton’s SUV-like agility in full-time 4WD mode.
- Water Bucket Challenge: A fun test of driver finesse with prizes worth up to RM500.
