Honda Malaysia has officially launched the New HR-V, a refreshed version of the country’s No.1 Non-National B-SUV. Known for its sporty appeal, practicality, and smart features, the updated model further solidifies Honda’s dominance in the B-segment SUV market. It now offers refined exterior styling, improved interior usability, advanced connectivity, and top-tier safety features across all variants.

At the launch event, Mr. Narushi Yazaki, Managing Director and CEO of Honda Malaysia, shared:  “We proudly unveil the New HR-V – a bold evolution of Malaysia’s favourite SUV. With over 170,000 units sold since 2015 and a commanding 41% market share in its segment, the HR-V has redefined compact SUVs in Malaysia.”

Moreover, he also highlighted Honda’s 21-year hybrid leadership, emphasizing the company’s ongoing innovation and commitment to sustainable mobility. Visually, the New HR-V gets a refreshed front grille, full LED headlights with Active Cornering Light, and a distinctive rear LED light strip for a modern road presence.

All variants now ride on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, while the e:HEV RS variant features an exclusive RS package for a sportier appearance. Inside, the cabin is more refined and functional. The e:HEV RS comes with RS-embossed sporty seats and a redesigned centre console with a wireless charger.

On top of that, a new 8-inch floating Display Audio Unit improves usability, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now come standard. The cabin also includes USB-C ports front and rear, as well as Honda’s Air Diffusion System for improved comfort. Despite its compact size, the HR-V offers spaciousness on par with larger SUVs.

Performance-wise, the New HR-V is available with three powertrains, namely a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC (121PS, 145Nm), a 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged (181PS, 240Nm) and the advanced 1.5L e:HEV hybrid system (131PS, 253Nm). It features three drive modes, specifically ECON, Normal and Sport, allowing drivers to tailor performance to their needs.

Honda SENSING is now standard across all variants, including Adaptive Driving Beam, while Honda CONNECT is expanded to S and E variants, enhancing convenience and connectivity. Available in new Phoenix Orange Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl, alongside existing colours, the New HR-V is now on display and available for test drives at all authorized Honda dealerships nationwide.
