Caltex Malaysia Celebrates 89 Years, Honouring Its People and Legacy
As Malaysia marks Merdeka and Malaysia Day, Caltex Malaysia is celebrating its own milestone — 89 years of service and innovation in the country. More than just a reflection of its history, the anniversary serves as an opportunity for the company to honour the people who have shaped its legacy and strengthened communities nationwide.

Leong Jee Wong, Country Chairman of Caltex Malaysia, shared:
“Simply put, Caltex’s history in Malaysia is a testament to excellence and innovation championed by our people. The team at Caltex Malaysia have always been regarded as family away from home, and we celebrate their milestones as our own.”
Stories of Resilience and Growth
Among those honoured this year is Vitini Josak, Lead Coordinator for Logistics & Operations Support. Starting as a fresh graduate, Vitini made history at age 29 as Caltex Malaysia’s first female Terminal Manager, paving the way for greater gender inclusivity. She co-developed the Women in Operations program, creating a platform for diversity and mentorship.

Another example of dedication is Steven Ho, who has been with Caltex for over 27 years. Now an NFR Partnership Specialist, he played a pivotal role in introducing Polymer Modified Asphalt (PMA) for Malaysia’s challenging climate. To him, Caltex has been more than a workplace — it has been a second family.

At the retail level, Caltex continues to be built on family legacies. Hisham bin Abd. Rahman and Norazni binti Ali manage the Asmah Ketereh Caltex station, a business started in 1969 by their late father.

Meanwhile, brothers Manimaran and Maninadarajan A/L Nallianna have grown their partnership into a network of 10 Caltex stations across Malaysia, with the next generation stepping in to continue the legacy.

A Legacy of Community and Commitment
For nearly nine decades, Caltex has been a trusted name in Malaysia, weathering challenges and contributing to progress. From pioneering fuel innovations to building resilient partnerships, the company has remained committed to its guiding purpose: to fuel lives, families, and communities.

Looking ahead, Caltex Malaysia reaffirms its promise to invest in people, embrace diversity, and continue driving happiness further for generations to come.
