Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz & Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz X Shown In Indonesia

Hyundai Debuts STARGAZER Cartenz and Cartenz X at GIIAS 2025

Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) unveiled the STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 last week. These new models represent Hyundai’s vision of creating “The Real Indonesian Car,” tailored for Indonesian road conditions and family-oriented lifestyles.

Inspired by Puncak Cartenz, Indonesia’s highest peak, the new STARGAZER lineup delivers a blend of modern design, spacious comfort, and cutting-edge features. Both models cater to diverse driving needs, whether for city commutes or long journeys, reinforcing Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and customer-focused solutions.

Design and Features for Every Lifestyle

The STARGAZER Cartenz sports a sleek, aerodynamic design, ideal for modern families, while the Cartenz X adds a rugged crossover look for adventurous drivers.

Both offer roomy interiors, Captain Seat options, and premium touches for maximum comfort.

Key highlights include:

  • Hyundai SmartSense (HSS) safety suite with Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) and Surround View Monitor (SVM)
  • Built-in Navigation for seamless route planning without external devices
  • Shift-by-Wire (SBW) technology on Cartenz X, enhancing convenience and storage space
  • Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, ensuring stress-free driving in traffic

Variants and Pricing

The STARGAZER Cartenz is available in four trims, priced from Rp269.9 million to Rp350.4 million, while the Cartenz X comes in three trims, from Rp361.9 million to Rp391.9 million (OTR Jakarta). Exclusive matte color options and Captain Seat configurations are available for an additional Rp3.5 million.

The new STARGAZER Cartenz lineup is available across Indonesia starting 23 July 2025. We know that Hyundai Malaysia is looking at locally-assembling the Stargazer in Malaysia, but we wonder if they’ll go with this new versions of the car or stick with the less Indonesia-specific version that looks like a miniature Staria. What do you think of the Hyundai STARGAZER Cartenz? Will it fare well in Malaysia against the Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Veloz or Perodua Alza?
