The Electric Mercedes-Benz GLC has had its grille teased and it’s pretty large.
Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser image of the upcoming all-electric GLC, and it’s clear the brand is making a bold statement with its design direction. At the center of this transformation is the return of the classic large grille, reinterpreted for the electric era with sleek lines, cutting-edge materials, and illuminated accents.
For over a century, the chrome grille has been a defining feature of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, from legends like the 600 Pullman and W108 S-Class to modern luxury icons. The new GLC pays tribute to this heritage while embracing a forward-looking design language rooted in Sensual Purity.
A Grille That Redefines the Brand’s Face
Unlike the purely functional grilles of the combustion era, the new GLC’s front fascia turns into an illuminated work of art. Key highlights include:
- A wide chromed frame with a smoked-glass-effect lattice structure
- Contour lighting integrated around the grille for a futuristic glow
- An optional animated lighting package featuring 942 illuminated dots, adding a dynamic, tech-driven twist Even the iconic three-pointed star and its surrounding frame will light up, creating an unmistakable identity on the road.
