The new generation Xpeng P7 electric sedan has debuted in China and here’s what we know right now.
Xpeng has officially unveiled the next-generation P7 electric sedan in China, and it brings major upgrades in design, performance, and smart technology. With a body length exceeding 5 meters and a sleek aerodynamic profile boasting a drag coefficient of just 0.201 Cd, the new P7 sets a fresh benchmark for premium EVs.

Striking New Exterior Design
The P7 now features Xmart Face styling, highlighted by a star-ring through-light bar and vertical light elements forming a distinctive H-shaped signature. Blacked-out A-pillars create a floating roof effect, while X-shaped wheels echo the Xpeng logo with unique lettering on the center caps. At the rear, matching H-shaped taillights and an active spoiler enhance both aesthetics and performance. The one-piece tailgate integrates blue intelligent driving indicator lights for a futuristic touch.

High-Tech Interior: A Digital Cockpit Experience
Inside, the “Technology Island” dashboard takes center stage. Key highlights include:
- 87-inch AR-HUD powered by Huawei hardware with Xpeng software
- 15.6-inch central screen with 3-axis movement
- Capacitive Touch Pad controls on door panels for customizable quick actions
- Dynamic ambient lighting and a three-spoke sports steering wheel

Power, Range, and Charging
The new P7 offers rear-wheel drive (270 kW / 367 hp) and all-wheel drive (437 kW / 595 hp) options. Two battery packs—74.9 kWh and 92.2 kWh—provide CLTC ranges of 702 km, 820 km, and 750 km for AWD variants.

Xpeng’s 5C ultra-fast charging sets the P7 apart: a 10-minute charge adds 512 km, while a 10–80% charge completes in just 11.3 minutes with peak power hitting 486 kW.

Market Position and Launch
With dimensions of 5017/1970/1427 mm and a wheelbase of 3008 mm, the P7 competes directly with rivals like the Tesla Model 3 but we’ll understand it’s real positioning once the price is revealed later this month. We have a strong suspicion this is high on the list for market launch in Malaysia by the end of 2025 via Bermaz.
