Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition Unveiled: A 50-Unit Tribute to Luxury and Legacy
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition, an ultra-exclusive version of the Mercedes-Maybach S 680, limited to just 50 cars worldwide. This edition celebrates over a century of Maybach innovation, craftsmanship, and V12 engineering excellence, offering bespoke design through the brand’s MANUFAKTUR program.

Presented at the historic Fort Michelangelo before VIP guests and media, the V12 Edition highlights the enduring legacy of Maybach’s legendary 12-cylinder engines while integrating the latest in comfort, performance, and digital luxury.

A Century of V12 Heritage
Maybach’s connection with the V12 engine dates back to the 1930s, when the Maybach Zeppelin set new benchmarks in luxury and performance. That tradition lives on in the S 680 V12 Edition, which combines timeless craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.

Powering the flagship sedan is a 5,980 cc V12 engine producing 612 hp and 900 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Paired with an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, the V12 delivers an effortless blend of power and refinement. This same engine was used in the bulletproof S 680 Guards edition.

Bespoke Craftsmanship with MANUFAKTUR
Each Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition is hand-finished with unique design touches:
- Exterior: Two-tone MANUFAKTUR paintwork in olive metallic and obsidian black metallic, accented by a high-tech silver pinstripe. Exclusive 5-hole forged wheels in olive metallic enhance its commanding stance. A commemorative Maybach “12” emblem in chrome and gold pays homage to the historic Maybach Zeppelin hood ornament.
- Interior: Nappa leather in saddle brown, paired with burr walnut wood trim, diamond-quilted roof liner, and handcrafted steering wheel. Special embroidery, “1 of 50” badging, and golden inlays underscore exclusivity.
- Accessories: Each car includes bespoke details such as Robbe & Berking silver-plated champagne flutes, edition-specific key rings, and a handcrafted key box from MANUFAKTUR Sindelfingen.

Technology Meets Tradition
Beyond luxury detailing, the V12 Edition offers rear-axle steering, E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL suspension, and active road noise compensation for unmatched ride quality. Inside, the latest MBUX system with up to five OLED displays ensures seamless connectivity and digital convenience.
