PROTON IRIZ TRAGIC ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY NEAR KTM KEPONG FLYOVER IN SUNGAI BULOH
Sungai Buloh, Selangor 23 December 2025 – The Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call regarding a road accident involving a Proton Iriz on the main route of Kepong to Sungai Buloh near the KTM Flyover, yesterday morning.
The call was received at 7.40 a.m. and an FRT machine with five members were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters arrived at the location at 7.47 a.m., with a travel distance of approximately 3 kilometres from the fire station.
Operations Commander, PBK II Khairul Nizam bin Johan, informed that his team found a red Proton Iriz vehicle had skidded, crashed and hit the flyover wall. A 32-year-old Indian woman was the driver of the vehicle and was sadly confirmed dead at the scene by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM).
Firefighters next act to remove the victim using special equipment (due to the severity of the accident the Iriz had crumpled) before handing the victim over to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) for further action.
The operation ended and the machinery along with the fire team returned back to the fire station at 9:00am after ensuring there was no further danger at the scene.
The public is advised to always be cautious while driving, obey the speed limit and ensure the vehicle’s condition is in good condition to avoid fatal and even small incidents on the road.
