The MIFA 9 Is Not Selling Like The Xpeng X9 or Zeekr 009 And Denza D9
It is strange that Malaysian electric MPV buyers are rushing to buy the recently launched Xpeng X9 and the Denza D9.
There is also a lot of interest with the Zeekr 009 which has a very similar silhouette to the MIFA 9 MPV (also known as the MG 9 in European markets), just a very different front face design language.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia launched this full electric MPV and there are two variants of the MIFA 9 on offer. Priced at RM269,888 (for the Luxury variant) and RM289,888 (for the Premium variant).
Now, both variants have similar powertrains. They come with a 90kWh battery and a WLTP battery driving range of 435km.
Using a single motor driving the front wheels with a power delivery of 245PS and 350Nm.
Other luxury and must have features include dual power sliding doors, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, heated side mirrors, sunroof and a powered tailgate.
The MIFA 9 offers a 2-2-3 seating layout with individual captain chairs in the second row, complete with massage function to give our Ministers a comfortable ride after a hard day’s work, cool air ventilation to provide a super comfortable seating and Ottoman functions.
It also comes with advanced technological features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and wireless charging pad.
This emission free MIFA 9 is a possible replacement for the current fleet of government Toyota Vellfire MPVs. The decision to choose the MIFA 9 over electric powered alternatives like Tesla or the Mercedes Benz EQS would show the Malaysian government’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The MIFA 9 distributor is Weststar Motors which has been a supplier of commercial vans to various government agencies for decades which reaffirms the possibility of this MIFA 9 being an official government vehicle.
