Honda is launching a new heritage service business called Honda Heritage Works, which includes a factory restoration service component.
This new initiative, which builds on the previous NSX Refresh Plan, aims to support owners of classic Honda and Acura (sold in North America only) sport models. This also includes modern classics like the Type R models which are becoming very expensive in the used/collectors market.

Program Details
Honda Heritage Works will officially launch on April 1, 2026, and is composed of two main services.
Honda Heritage Parts: This service will reproduce and supply certain genuine parts that have been discontinued. The parts will be available globally through standard Honda distribution channels.
Genuine Honda Heritage Compatible Parts: Newly redeveloped using modern materials and manufacturing methods.
Genuine Honda Heritage Reproduction Parts: Reproduced using the same materials and production methods as the originals.
Honda Restoration Service: This service offers authentic and comprehensive restoration works performed by Honda at a dedicated facility in Japan (the newly renamed Honda Heritage Works Takanezawa).

This service is only available in Japan, at least for now.
Applications for the first-generation NSX will be accepted starting in early January 2026, with work beginning in April of that year.
Restoration Service Options
The restoration service offers two tiers, tailored to the owner’s needs.
Basic Restoration: Focuses primarily on performance-related items such as the engine and suspension components. Exterior and interior work are optional additions.
Total Restoration: A comprehensive service that includes full disassembly, inspection, and overhaul of the entire vehicle, including the engine, suspension, exterior body, and interior.
Eligible Models
The program will begin with the first-generation Honda NSX (NA1-100). Honda has indicated plans to expand the service and parts availability to other classic sport-type models in the future, with potential candidates including the S2000, Type R variants, and Honda Beat.

How to Participate
Owners of a first-generation NSX in Japan will be able to apply for the restoration service through Honda Cars dealerships starting in early January 2026.
If you are an owner outside of Japan, you can purchase the Heritage Parts globally to perform your own maintenance and restoration. The official Honda Heritage Works website has been launched to provide detailed information, including pricing and available parts, as the program rolls out.
With the launch of Honda Heritage Works, Honda will further enhance its after-sale services and deliver added value so that customers who have cherished and enjoyed classic Honda sport-type models for many years can continue to drive their beloved vehicles with great confidence.
