Perodua’s 2025 Total Sales Targets Are Very Impressive
Perodua is enjoying record total sales in 2025 and this is just a continuation from years before and for 2025 Perodua is projected to sell over 359,000 units by the end of 2025, which would surpass its previous record of 358,102 units set in 2024.
In ASEAN, Perodua is expected to maintain its number two sales spot in the ASEAN market, a position it achieved in 2024 by overtaking Honda.
In Malaysia, Perodua’s market share is estimated to be between 44% and 46% of the total industry volume (TIV) for 2025. Meawnhile, 2025 has been a significant year for new products, including the launch of the new Perodua Traz SUV just a few days ago and the debut of its first-ever electric vehicle (EV), the Perodua QV-E which has been getting some social media ‘bite’ on its price and battery subscription fee.

In 2024, Perodua’s record sales of 358,102 units secured its regional standing. The top three automakers by sales volume in the ASEAN region for that year were:
• Toyota: 714,000 units
• Perodua: 358,102 units
• Honda: 303,000 units
While it currently exports small volumes to markets like Singapore, Brunei, and Fiji, Perodua is reassessing its strategy in Indonesia to navigate a changing landscape and potential new competition from local national car initiatives there.
Meanwhile, Perodua remains a key driver of the Malaysian automotive supply chain, with local component purchases expected to reach RM10.8 billion in 2025.
This figure represents the total value of components purchased by Perodua for vehicle manufacturing and after-sales services, not the individual price of a single key part for a customer.
Initial Estimate: Perodua initially earmarked an estimated RM10.8 billion for local component purchases from Malaysian vendors in 2025.
Revised Estimate: Due to strong demand, particularly boosted by the introduction of the new Perodua Traz SUV, the company president and CEO stated in December 2025 that the total purchases are expected to surpass RM11 billion.
Future Outlook: The company also indicated that local component purchases could exceed RM11.5 billion in the coming years as more models with high local content are introduced.
