Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially pulled the curtain back on the future of luxury mobility with an exclusive preview of the highly anticipated and award-winning all-new electric Mercedes-Benz CLA. This new compact model brings the Mercedes-Benz design language and electric vehicle philosophy forward. Members of the public are invited to check the car out at Stars@Mercedes-Benz Bangsar between 15 and 18 January 2026.
The Most Intelligent Mercedes-Benz Ever
The all-new electric CLA serves as the debut platform for the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). This in-house developed architecture utilizes supercomputers and AI-enhanced systems connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud.
The standout feature is the new MBUX Virtual Assistant, which leverages generative AI to facilitate complex, multi-turn dialogues. Powered by ChatGPT-4o and Google Gemini, the assistant can recognize driver emotions, provide personalized navigation answers via Google Maps, and offer internet-wide knowledge through Microsoft Bing.
With over-the-air (OTA) updates, the vehicle’s driving assistance and infotainment systems will remain current for years to come.
Efficiency Meets Athletic Power: The “One-Litre Car” of the Electric Age
Mercedes-Benz engineers have achieved remarkable efficiency with the CLA’s new electric drivetrain. The vehicle achieves a consumption rate as low as 12.2 kWh/100 km, resulting in an extraordinary WLTP range of up to 792 km.
Equipped with an advanced 800-volt electrical system, the CLA dramatically slashes charging times. When using high-power charging, the vehicle can regain up to 325 kilometres of range in just ten minutes, making long-distance travel as effortless as a traditional combustion engine stop.
A Masterpiece of Design
Visually, the electric CLA redefines the modern sports sedan. It features a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and a powerful GT-inspired rear. For the first time on a production vehicle, the A-shape grille features an innovative seamless star panel that is fully illuminated, boasting 142 individually animated LED stars.
Practicality hasn’t been sacrificed for style. The CLA is the first modern Mercedes-Benz to feature a 101-litre “frunk” (front trunk) in addition to its 405-litre rear luggage compartment. A massive, one-piece panoramic glass roof extends from the windscreen to the rear, flooding the cabin with natural light.
Pricing and Pre-Booking in Malaysia
The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA 250+ with EQ Technology is now open for pre-booking via the official website. For the Peninsular Malaysia market, the estimated price starts from RM 295,888 (on-the-road, without insurance). Mercedes-Benz Malasia also invites anyone with interest in the non-EV CLA to register their interest too.
As part of its commitment to customer loyalty, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also teased the upcoming 100,000 km Club, a program designed to offer exclusive privileges to long-term owners.
