Jetour Celebrates 2 Million Vehicle Sales In Just 7 Years

Jetour Auto recently marked a milestone after it surpassed two million cumulative sales since 2018

Seven years after they first debuted, Jetour Auto has achieved a sales milestone. The name is a portmanteau of “Jet” and “Tour,” intended to signify “convenient travel” or “victory road”.

Rising Chinese automotive brand Jetour Auto has just announced an impressive business milestone after its sales surpassed two million units since the brand debuted in 2018.

Interestingly, this means that it took just seven years of steady sales growth for Jetour Auto to achieve  strong market recognition through its interestingly priced and designed vehicles.

Additionally, this signifies the brand’s solid position in the global automotive landscape and its entry into the top rank of mainstream players which have dominated the segment (SUV and Crossover) for decades.

It all started back in August 2018 when Jetour launched its first model, the X70. The model saw 10,000 units in monthly sales by the end of the year. Then, in February 2020, the 200,000th vehicle from Jetour rolled off the production line. August 2021 saw Jetour achieve a cumulative sales of over 400,000. By November 2022, Jetour celebrated the 600,000 unit milestone, achieving annual sales of 180,000 units.

Then, in January 2024, cumulative sales surpassed 1 million, with annual sales climbing to 568,000 units. Jetour Auto then achieved a breakthrough of 2 million cumulative sales last October 2025, marking a major milestone in the brand’s development journey.

Meanwhile, Jetour remains committed to its “Travel+” strategy, continuously accelerating its global expansion. Currently, the brand operates in 91 countries and regions and has established more than 2,000 sales and service networks, achieving both market share leadership and high customer satisfaction across multiple markets.

In case you did to know this, Jetour is a Chinese automotive brand owned by Chery, known for its affordable and feature-rich SUVs, rapidly expanding globally and in Malaysia, with models like the stylish Dashing and family friendly VT9 gaining traction through local assembly and attractive pricing.

The two Jetour models currently assembled locally are the Dashing and VT9. The former is a mid-sized, five-seater SUV priced from RM109,800, while the latter is a slightly larger seven-seater offering, starting from RM118,800.
