Launched in Singapore just a week ago and now previewing on the Malaysian Toyota website, this Toyota Vios HEV (Hybrid) is a self-charging full hybrid with a refreshed exterior with a low-profile bumper, sculpted side pontoons, a six-window design and a fastback silhouette. The award winning non hybrid version has seen sales success in Malaysia since it launch. It was priced from RM90,000 and moves up to RM96,000 for the top specification model (OTR before insurance).
Interestingly, the previous model Vios sedan, the 3rd generation was launched in October 2013 and was priced from RM73,200 to RM93,000. A major facelift was introduced in January 2019 with great features and handsome looks with prices ranging from RM77,000 to RM87,000.
So, now the latest variant, a hybrid will definitely be priced a little higher ….. no launch and price shared yet on their website. Only the below shared information.

Compact and easy to manoeuvre, this family sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre hybrid electric powertrain optimised for stop-start traffic and the tight spaces typical of urban environments.
It produces 112 PS and 262 Nm of torque, with a rated fuel efficiency of 27 km/L and a driving range of up to 972 km on a full tank (best case scenario).
The Toyota Vios HEV (Hybrid) is designed for practical use. A 460-litre boot provides space for groceries, luggage, or other items, while the cabin includes 64-colour ambient lighting.
Safety and convenience features include a 360 degree view camera to assist with parking, as well as Toyota Safety Sense functions such as Pedal Misoperation Control and Front Departure Alert.
