Ferrari Luce (which in Italian mean “light”) is Ferrari’s first-ever all-electric vehicle has been officially announced yesterday evening. This all new Ferrari represents a radical departure for the brand, trading its signature V12 roar (like in the 12 Cilindri) for a 1,000+ horsepower electric powertrain.
The Luce is the result of a five-year collaboration with LoveFrom, the creative firm led by legendary former Apple designers Jony Ive and Marc Newson.
The Luce features four electric motors (all-wheel drive) delivering over 1,000 hp, a 0–60 mph time of under 2.5 seconds, and a top speed of 193 mph. Unlike most Ferrari supercars, the Luce is a four-door, four-seat grand tourer designed for broader usability.
The Luce comes equipped with a 122 kWh battery, which offers approximately 330 miles of driving range and supports ultra-fast 350kW charging.
The “Apple-Style” Interior
The most discussed feature is the cockpit, which blends minimalist Apple-inspired aesthetics with extreme tactility:
- Tactile Controls: Defying the trend of giant touchscreens, the Luce uses dozens of machined aluminum buttons, toggles, and switches to ensure a visceral connection to the car.
- The Key Ritual: The car features a rectangular glass key with an e-ink display. When inserted into a magnetic dock, the key’s yellow color “drains” into the dashboard, lighting up the car in a dramatic startup ceremony.
- Innovative Materials: The interior uses over 40 pieces of Corning Gorilla Glass and 100% recycled aluminum.
- Unique Sound: Instead of “fake” engine noises, Ferrari uses an accelerometer to capture and amplify the actual vibrations of the electric motors, giving the car its own unique acoustic identity.
The full Ferrari Luce exterior design and final production details are scheduled for a complete reveal in May 2026.

Materials were chosen for their durability and integrity. The designers embraced aluminium for its suitability for precision machining, with engineered components that celebrate the quality and beauty of the material.
The aluminium is 100%-recycled aluminium alloy meticulously machined from solid billets using advanced 3- or 5-axis CNC technology, then subjected to a state-of-the-art anodisation process.
This treatment creates an ultra-thin, hexagonal cell microstructure on the surface, ensuring exceptional resistance, hardness, and a refined micro-texture. The result is a finish with a deep, enduring colour that remains vibrant over time. Glass is precision-milled Corning® Gorilla® Glass, which is durable, scratch resistant and has high visibility.
