Grégoire Olivier is responsible for the China and Asia-Pacific region and he is formerly from Groupe PSA/FCA. Some Malaysians might recognise him from a couple of decades or so ago when he was in Malaysia for Peugeot new model launches under the previous Peugeot brand guardian.
While Olivier is responsible for the region, the success of the Peugeot revival in Malaysia is heavily tied to a broader, investment-driven strategy to establish Malaysia as the central export base for the Asia-Pacific region (remember, they have a factory in Gurun to assemble vehicles).
Grégoire Olivier is a seasoned automotive executive who was appointed Head of the China and Asia-Pacific region for Stellantis in October 2025. As part of this role, he is a key member of the Stellantis Leadership Team, playing a crucial part in the company’s regional strategy and electrification transition (Leapmotor is his ‘baby’ and the B10 electric car has been selling very well since launch).
As of early 2026, his responsibilities include overseeing the strategic partnership with Leapmotor.
Olivier’s previous positions at Stellantis and Groupe PSA include Head of China Strategy, Liaison Officer to Leapmotor, COO for China, and General Secretary for Groupe PSA where he oversaw Chinese activities. Before joining PSA as CEO of Faurecia in 2006, he held various roles, including serving in the French Ministry of Industry and as an advisor to the Prime Minister for Industry and Environment, as well as senior roles at companies like Pechiney and SAGEM.
Did you know that Gregoire Olivier was moved to lead China and Asia-Pacific operations at Stellantis in an Oct. 8 2025 management shuffle. Meanwhile, we wait patiently for good news on the revival of Peugeot and looking forward to seeing the new range of ‘LION’ vehicles on our roads.
