Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) is currently assessing the possibility of assembling the Toyota Urban Cruiser electric version in Indonesia.

This Toyota model is presently sold as a fully imported (CBU) unit from India.

Incidentally, the Urban Cruiser EV is a compact electric SUV developed in collaboration with Suzuki. It is offered with two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery capacity options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The 61 kWh variant has an estimated range of up to 400km for the FWD version (WLTP-equivalent of 426.7 km in Europe).
It has compact dimensions, just barely larger than the Yaris Cross, measuring 4,285 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height. With a turning radius of just 5.2 meters, it offers excellent maneuverability. Exterior color options include bi-tone choices, featuring a contrasting black roof.
Inside, the Urban Cruiser is also built for comfort and flexibility. The longer wheelbase provides extra cabin space, especially with a sliding rear seat system that allows for greater passenger comfort or extended load space. The interior boasts a clean, open design with a low instrument panel and high seating positions.
On top of that, ambient lighting offers 12 customizable colors to enhance the cabin’s atmosphere. The seats also feature a 40:20:40 split-folding configuration and can be reclined for added versatility.
Meanwhile, key features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless smartphone charger, and a sunroof. Safety features on the Indonesian and European models include Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, and seven airbags.
In case you didnt know this, the Urban Cruiser electric SUV is currently imported from India as a twin to the Suzuki e-Vitara and the company is evaluating production based on sales volume and supply chain readiness.
