4 Vehicles Involved, 8 Victims Injured in this Hari Raya accident
The festive season should be filled with joy, but a road accident that occurred at Tali Air 3, Ban Canal, Tanjung Karang yesterday afternoon reminds us that danger is always on the road and drivers should be extra alert and mindful of traffic conditions and speed limits.
According to firefighters at the scene of the accident, the incident involved four vehicles with eight victims suffering injuries. An adult male was reportedly trapped, but managed to be rescued by the public prior to the arrival of rescue teams.
Injuries of the victims:
• One person suffered a broken right leg
• Another broken left hand
• While others suffered minor injuries
Six victims were taken to hospital by ambulance, while another was taken by the public for immediate treatment.
Teams from Cape Coral Fire and Rescue who arrived shortly after carried out rescue operations and cleared the location to ensure the safety of other road users. Many Malaysians like every year before are returning to their Kampungs, many are also in a hurry. In heavy traffic conditions, one small mistake can have big consequences.
