2026 Chery QQ3 Electric Car Walkaround
Meet the Chery QQ3 electric city car which has just been launched in China with pre-sales starting at 68,920 RMB (which is approx. RM40,000 to RM45,000 before shipping, duties and dealer margins). This QQ3 model follows an earlier, lower-range “Ice Cream” variant of the compact Chery electric cars which has a price starting around 29,900 to 43,900 yuan.

This 2026 QQ3 is a significantly upgraded model, boasting a 2700mm wheelbase, 420km driving range, and a 15.6-inch user screen whilst still targeting the budget EV buyer.
The QQ3 is rear-wheel drive, and has 78 hp (58 kW) or 121 hp (90 kW) motor with a possible 125km/h top speed.
It is powered by a Gotion LFP battery (29.48 kWh or 41.28 kWh) providing a decent 280 km to 401 km CLTC range, with a quick 30-80% battery charge time of 16.5 minutes.

How large is it? Well its 4,195 mm in length, has a 2,700 mm wheelbase and with 35 storage compartments around the cabin.
This 5-seater is a direct rival to the popular Proton e.MAS 5 and the just launched TQ Wuling Bingo with 375L to 1,450L boot space, a 15.6-inch screen, 50W wireless phone charging and Lynxy intelligent cockpit powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip.
Will it come to Malaysia? Well, right now, we think yes and will compete more with the BYD Atto2 which can be yours for RM86k or even Perodua’s much talked about QV-E which is priced at RM80k.
