Another un-wanted tragedy where an 18-year-old teenager dies in a traffic accident in Parit Java, Muar, Johor after the motorcycle he was riding hit a bus at the Parit Java traffic light intersection, on March 29, 2026.
According to police, the bus came from Batu Pahat direction to Muar town. While stopping at a red light and then moving and turning left after a green light, the victim’s motorcycle coming from behind was believed to have failed to evade and then hit the middle left side of the bus.
As a result of the violation, the victim suffered serious injuries to the head and body, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver and passengers did not suffer any injuries.
The victim’s body was sent to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for interrogation. The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Police are also requesting people who have information in relation to this incident to come forward and help the investigation by contacting the investigating officer at 018-9704143 or present to the nearest police station.
This incident is once again a reminder for all of us to take extra caution on the roads, especially at traffic light intersection areas. Sometimes just a few seconds can change everything.
