The new locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport is here and offers more value now
BMW Group Malaysia has officially launched the new locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport at The Art of Driving 2025, held alongside one of Malaysia’s premier golf events. Available at authorised dealerships nationwide starting 25 July 2025, the new variant embodies BMW’s principles of Technology Openness and Power of Choice, offering advanced performance and luxury alongside sustainable innovation.
Benjamin Nagel, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia, emphasized the brand’s continued leadership in both premium combustion and electric vehicles in Malaysia. “We are redefining luxury not just with craftsmanship, but by offering choice—between petrol and electric, comfort and performance,” he said.
Moreover, the new BMW X5 variant represents the evolution of the iconic Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV), now featuring a Mild Hybrid powertrain with a newly enhanced six-cylinder engine producing 381hp and 540Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, supported by an 8-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive.
Design updates include a redesigned front with the Iconic Glow kidney grille, slim Adaptive LED headlights, and bold X-shaped daytime running lights. At the rear, stylised X taillights and a new apron enhance its sporty aesthetic. It rides on 21-inch M light alloy wheels with M Sport brakes.
On top of that, inside, the cabin also features a redesigned cockpit with the BMW Curved Display, including a 12.3” info screen and 14.9” control display. The interior is fitted with sport seats, Sensafin upholstery, Harman Kardon audio, 4-zone climate control, panoramic roof and wireless charging. Available colours include Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey and Skyscraper Grey.
Advanced technology includes BMW Operating System 8.5, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, a full-colour Head-Up Display and extensive driver assistance systems such as Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Professional. For added convenience and security, the BMW Digital Key Plus and BMW ConnectedDrive are standard.
Owners enjoy a full suite of aftersales support under the “Relax. We Care.” programme, including real-time diagnostics and 24/7 roadside assistance. The X5 is offered with BMW’s Easy Drive Financing from RM5,695/month, and Straight-Line Financing from RM5,543/month.
