Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) has introduced the new Allianz Electric Vehicle (EV) EcoMiles benefit programme for EV owners.
Launched on September 29, 2025, the Allianz EV EcoMiles benefit allows policyholders who insure their privately used BEVs under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy to earn tangible cash rewards of up to 15% of their insurance premiums at no extra cost.
“With Allianz EV EcoMiles, we are supporting our customers’ green initiatives and rewarding them for their sustainable choices,” said Sean Wang, CEO of Allianz General. He added that the initiative is designed to recognize and support environmentally friendly practices, stating, “Driving a BEV is already one step towards reducing carbon emissions. Now, whether you’re a remote worker or a weekend-only driver, Allianz EV EcoMiles rewards you even further”.
Reward Tiers and Activation Details
The cash reward is calculated based on the policyholder’s annual average mileage and is applied to the net basic premium (basic premium after deduction of the No Claim Discount – NCD).
The reward structure is as follows:
- Tier 1: Customers with an annual average mileage of up to 10,000km will receive a cash reward of 15% of their net basic premium.
- Tier 2: Customers with an annual average mileage between 10,001 and 15,000 km will receive a cash reward of 10% of their net basic premium.
To qualify for the reward, policyholders must activate the Allianz EV EcoMiles benefit via the MyAllianz app within 30 days of the policy’s effective date. Subsequently, they must submit their odometer reading and vehicle photos through the app within 14 days before or after the policy expiry date. Once approved, the cash reward will be credited directly to the policyholder’s account.
Limited-Time Complimentary Charging Credit
For a limited time, Allianz General is also offering complimentary RM100 EV charging credits. This offer is available to customers who insure their BEVs under an Allianz Private Car Comprehensive policy between September 29 and October 31, 2025, successfully activate the Allianz EV EcoMiles benefit within 30 days of the policy effective date, and provide a valid email address and phone number during purchase. The redemption code for the charging credit will be sent via email and can be redeemed using the ChargEV app by Yinson Greentech.
