On November 12, 2025, PRO-NET announced that the Proton e.MAS 7 continues its reign as the No. 1 EV Model in Malaysia for 10 consecutive months. Concurrently, the newly-launched Proton e.MAS 5, dubbed Malaysia’s First Affordable EV, has garnered a stunning response, collecting over 10,000 bookings nationwide.

e.MAS 7: The Undisputed Market Leader
The Proton e.MAS 7 has established itself as the benchmark for electric vehicles in the country. Since its launch, the model has sold a total of 7,413 units as of October 31, 2025.

The interest in the e.MAS 5 is widespread, with the Central Region recording the highest number of bookings, followed by the Southern and Northern Regions. Demand from East Malaysia and the East Coast is also trending upward.

Dealer insights reveal that the e.MAS 5 is attracting a diverse clientele. The majority of buyers are working professionals who choose this model as their primary daily vehicle, appreciating its practicality and efficiency. Additionally, a significant number of customers are second car buyers, acquiring the e.MAS 5 as a supplementary vehicle for their households.
