Lorry And Perodua Bezza Road Accident In Kulai Leaves 3 Dead

3 sadly dead after a collision between three vehicles in Kulai

Sad to see and read about about three dead persons in an accident involving two lorries and a car in Jalan Senai – Seelong in Kulai, Johor Bahru, yesterday.

Kulai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee said, his office received a report regarding the incident at 4.15pm.

He said the preliminary investigations found the crash believed to have happened when a Perodua Bezza driven by a 68-year-old local man was hit from behind by a lorry.

“The car carrying three female passengers between the ages of 65 and 87 was hit from behind by a lorry driven by a 46-year-old local man.”

“The two vehicles later crashed into the opposite lane and collided with another lorry driven by a 23-year-old local man.”

“As a result of the violation, the lorry driver was confirmed dead at the scene, while another lorry driver and a car passenger were reported dead while receiving treatment at Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital (HTSMTI),” he said through a media statement, today.

According to him, the driver and two other passengers were brought to Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) Johor Bahru for further treatment.

Tan said, the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

At the same time, he asks the public who has information in relation to the accident to contact the case investigating officer, Inspector Ahmad Safuan Abu Naim at 017-7573507 or attend the Investigation and Traffic Enforcement Division of the District Police Headquarters (IPD) Kulai.

More and more lorry relate accidents this year, like the one on June 5th between a Perodua Alza and a lorry. Then there was another on July 13th between a Perodua Myvi (driver lost his life) and a lorry.
