Yesterday, LEPAS Malaysia successfully held its Media Connection Session in Kuala Lumpur for an exclusive introduction to the brand’s vision, design philosophy, and upcoming product roadmap ahead of its official launch. LEPAS is a global new-energy brand under Chery Group, positioning itself as the Preferred Brand for Elegant Mobility Life with the philosophy of “Drive Your Elegance”.

The session featured Mr. Zhong Wei, Deputy CEO of LEPAS, and Mr. Ge Yong, Global Product Director, alongside Crystal Zhang, Branding Director of LEPAS Malaysia.

Mr. Zhong Wei highlighted that LEPAS is backed by Chery Group’s world-class R&D, engineering, and supply capabilities. The brand’s identity is rooted in three core inspirations:
- Leopard: Symbolizing elegance, speed, and power.
- Leap: Representing a global mindset that crosses borders with intelligence.
- Passion: Inspiring urban explorers with energy and style.

“LEPAS believes that elegance should not be reserved only for luxury products, and intelligent technology should not be limited to electronic devices,” said Mr. Zhong Wei. The brand is crafted for a new generation of confident, creative, and connected users who seek balance in career, family, and passion, and expect their cars to reflect their personal aesthetic and lifestyle.

Mr. Ge Yong, Global Product Director, introduced the initial product lineup, the LEPAS L8 and LEPAS L6, both developed on the all-new NEV (New Energy Vehicle) Platform designed specifically for new energy vehicles. This platform supports both industry-leading Super Hybrid and Super EV systems.

LEPAS L8: The Flagship SUV
The L8 is positioned as a refined, spacious, and intelligent SUV. Key features include:
- Spacious Interior: It boasts a 2,800 mm wheelbase and a class-leading 970 mm of rear legroom.
- Performance: The Super Hybrid system delivers a combined maximum power of 205 kW and 365 Nm of torque.
- Range: It offers an EV range of over 100 km and a combined range exceeding 1,300 km.
- Safety & Comfort: Features include advanced safety with 5-star structure and 8 airbags, massage seats, ventilation, and high-fidelity audio, as well as a female-friendly front windshield blocking 99% of UV rays.

The body structure is engineered to 2026 Euro NCAP five-star standards. It uses 75% high-strength steel/aluminum and 1500 MPa hot-formed steel in 28 critical areas.
LEPAS L6: Urban Intelligent Mobility
The L6 is introduced as a younger, design-forward model suitable for urban families and urban elites. It features the family design DNA, intelligent HMI with emotional resonance, and vibrant color choices.

- Brand Launch: Q1 2026
- Product Launch: First half of 2026
