TQ Wuling Bingo EV Is Now Officially In Production

The TQ Wuling Bingo is now being assembled at the Tan Chong Segambut factory.

TQ WULING has officially commenced the local assembly (CKD) of the TQ WULING Bingo EV in Malaysia. This historic milestone brings together the global electric vehicle expertise of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) with the deep manufacturing heritage of the Tan Chong Group. Locally assembled at the Segambut facility in Kuala Lumpur, the Bingo EV is the first electric vehicle to be produced at this plant, marking a significant step in making sustainable mobility more accessible to Malaysian consumers.

Localized Quality and Safety

The local assembly process ensures that the Bingo EV is optimized for Malaysian driving conditions and consumer needs while meeting international quality standards. A standout feature of the CKD model is its focus on safety; it is the first market to offer six airbags and a reinforced body structure utilizing 1,500 MPa ultra-high-tensile steel.

The vehicle is powered by Wuling’s proprietary MAGIC EV battery, which features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. With over three million Wuling EVs sold globally, this battery technology has a proven track record of reliability and safety in diverse real-world scenarios.

Affordable Urban Mobility

The TQ WULING Bingo EV is available in two well-equipped variants, strategically priced to lower the entry barrier for EV ownership:

  • Bingo PRO: RM67,800
  • Bingo MAX: RM72,800

To celebrate the production launch, TQ WULING is offering a RM5,000 cash rebate, bringing the effective on-the-road prices down to RM62,800 and RM67,800, respectively. The first 500 customers can also enjoy the “Bingo’s Fabulous 5 Perks” package, which includes a complimentary 7kW home charger, portable charger, solar tinting, and comprehensive insurance benefits.

Performance and Practicality

Designed for urban living, the Bingo EV combines a retro-inspired aesthetic with modern functionality. The Bingo PRO offers a practical city range of up to 333 km (CLTC), while the Bingo MAX extends this to 410 km (CLTC). Inside, the “floating-island” dashboard houses dual 10.25-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment.

TQ Wuling Bingo interior

Despite its compact footprint, the Bingo EV is highly practical, featuring 15 interior storage compartments and a flexible boot space that expands to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded. Owners are supported by an 8-year/120,000km battery warranty and a growing network of dedicated showrooms and service centres across Peninsular Malaysia.
