Mitsubishi Xforce Previewed In Malaysia, Tentative Launch Price & Full Specs

The Mitsubishi Xforce was previewed in the Malaysian market and here’s what you can expect.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia have just opened the order books for their all-new Xforce – a compact crossover that aims at the mass market buyer. The Mitsubishi Xforce will be launched in later this year and is offered in two variants for the Malaysian market. The only powertrain option in Malaysia will be the same one found on the Xpander MPV – a 1.5L naturally-aspirated four cylinder petrol that sends power to the front wheels via a CVT.

The Mitsubishi Xforce Urban is the base model and this comes with Black Leatherette seats with an anti-heat treatment, a 4.2″ TFT meter, an 8″ infotainment unit with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6 speakers, dual zone a/c with a driver’s knee vent.

This variant comes with 4 airbags, a blind spot warning (BSW) system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) plus a front driving video recorder. The estimated price is RM110,000.

The Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate on the other hand adds a lot of equipment for just RM10,000 more. The exterior gets a front hood emblem and a black tailgate spoiler to visually differentiate the two variants.

Both versions get the same 18″ two-tone alloy wheels. The tailgate on this variant is powered. Inside, you get an trim pieces that Mitsubishi calls ‘Melange Weave with Mocha Accent’. The seats also feature mocha accents.

The driver digital display is 8-inches across in this variant while the infotainment unit here is 12.3″ across – the largest in any Mitsubishi vehicle.

Audiophiles will appreciate the Yamaha Premium sound system which features 8 speakers and special tuning and four sound profiles. You also get Panasonic Nanoe X air purifier, ambient lighting, a wireless charging pad, an auto dimming rear view mirror and a tyre pressure monitoring system. This variant also gets 4 drive modes including a new WET mode from Mitsubishi.

The safety suite in this model is also expanded with 6 airbags, front AND REAR driving video recorders, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collission Mitigation (FCM), Leading Car Departure Notification (LCDN), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).

Order books are open and the first 1,000 customers will be entitled to an RM5,000 cash rebate and will be entered into a buy 1 free 1 contest where the grand prize is another high spec Xforce, with Apple products as the 2nd and 3rd prize. Current Mitsubishi vehicle owners are entitled to an additional RM1,000 rebate too.
