Geely Auto Indonesia plans to expand its portfolio by introducing several brands under the Geely Holding Group. To start, Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand under Geely Group, is officially entering the Indonesian market, with a debut at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) just days ago (February 4th 2026). The brand plans to launch two initial models, the Zeekr X SUV and 009 MPV, with potential plans for local assembly (CKD) to provide more competitive pricing in the premium EV segment.
“Zeekr has not yet been launched; we are only introducing the 009 and X models,” said Constantinus Herlijoso, Sales and Channel Director of Geely Auto Indonesia, at the time.
By 2024, the Zeekr brand had entered the Indonesian market. The Chinese electric vehicle brand was acquired by Premium Auto Prima and made its debut at the GJAW 2024 event.
At that time, Zeekr electric vehicles were marketed with an estimated price range of IDR 1.1 billion to IDR 2.7 billion (USD 66,000-162,000).
The Zeekr models to be introduced by Geely Auto Indonesia are expected to be priced lower than the previously marketed units.
“We plan to assemble Zeekr vehicles locally. This is expected to eliminate approximately 50% of import costs from China,” Herlijoso explained.
He further stated that Geely is currently assessing which costs can be reduced to determine the future selling price of Zeekr vehicles.

Following the approach adopted for Geely’s previous products, two Zeekr models are expected to enter the Indonesian market and will be assembled at the facilities of Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM).
Meanwhile, there was lso mention that Lynk & Co, another premium brand under the Geely/Volvo umbrella, is also set to debut in Indonesia, targeting a slightly different segment with PHEV options.
