Rewarding Loyalty: The Hyundai Staria All-Star Referral Programme and 2026 Strategic Outlook

Hyundai Motor Malaysia is strengthening its community ties through the newly launched Staria All-Star Referral Programme, offering substantial rewards for existing owners and significant savings for new customers as part of its “Smart Premium” 2026 roadmap.

The Staria All-Star Referral Programme stands as a cornerstone of Hyundai Motor Malaysia’s (HMY) 2026 strategy to foster deeper, more meaningful connections with its customer base. By transforming existing owners into brand ambassadors, the programme leverages the award-winning reputation of the Hyundai Staria—recently named MPV ICE of the Year—to expand the Hyundai family through trusted, word-of-mouth recommendations. The initiative is designed to be a win-win for both the community and newcomers, providing a structured way for owners to share their positive experiences while enjoying tangible financial benefits.

Under the mechanics of the Staria All-Star Referral, the rewards are both immediate and practical. Existing owners, acting as referrers, receive RM500 in service credits for every successful referral, which can be used to offset future maintenance costs under the myHyundaiCare ecosystem. Meanwhile, the new customers they introduce to the brand enjoy a substantial RM1,500 in savings, which is applied on top of any existing promotional offers at the time of purchase. This collaborative approach not only incentivizes loyalty but also lowers the barrier to entry for those seeking a premium, high-tech MPV.

To ensure long-term peace of mind for these new and existing owners, the Hyundai Protection Plan provides a robust safety net. Developed in partnership with leading insurers like Allianz and Etiqa, the plan offers agreed value coverage for vehicles up to 15 years old. Complementing this is a comprehensive Warranty and Parts infrastructure, which includes a standard 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. HMY has also significantly improved parts availability through its dedicated distribution warehouse in Glenmarie, focusing specifically on fast-moving components to minimize service downtime.

Accessibility is being further enhanced through aggressive Network Growth, with Hyundai on track to operate 25 outlets nationwide by the end of 2026. This expansion includes a strategic focus on East Malaysia to ensure better service coverage for all drivers. These outlets serve as the primary hubs for myHyundaiCare Initiatives, a holistic aftersales campaign aimed at lowering total ownership costs. Key highlights include a modular battery replacement system for hybrids—where only affected modules are swapped rather than the entire assembly—and the deployment of a mobile technical support team to assist customers in underserved regions.

Finally, Hyundai’s Performance and Product Strategy for 2026 promises an “electrifying” shift for the brand. This is headlined by the highly anticipated Malaysian debut of the high-performance Hyundai N brand, featuring the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N. Alongside these performance titans, HMY will refresh its core lineup with the locally produced new Tucson and all-new Santa Fe in Q2 2026, while simultaneously expanding into new segments with the upcoming arrival of a versatile B-MPV, likely the Stargazer.
