Mitsubishi Pajero 2WD arrives
For humans, a facelift means some botox in the lips for that fuller look, some sharpening of the nose maybe and the rising of cheekbones. For car manufacturers like Mitsubishi, this is an exercise to create much needed hype in the media to get car buyers to walk into Mitsubishi showrooms to look at a possible alternative to what they were going to buy………from the competition.
Today they launched the Pajero Sport GL which is a 2 wheel drive version of the popular 4WD Pajero Sport. No change to the skin and instead just a year after the launch of the Pajero Sport 4WD they bring us the 2WD version which could have easily been introduced together with the 4WD version. This ‘delay’ in launch is a strategy by most car manufacturers to keep the hype up and Mitsubishi Malaysia launched this 2WD Pajero at the Oval on the lower ground floor of I Utama new wing where a possible 100 units of this car can be sold over this coming weekend.
This car and the whole Mitsubishi stable of vehicles including the EVO X will be on show throughout this weekend. Priced at RM145,467.80 it will come equipped with all the features of the 4WD Pajero and warranty program. The savings of some RM15k we believe justifies the purchase of the 2WD Pajero as it will still be able to tackle the rough but not tumble out of it with ease.
