The Return Of The Alfa Spider………a possible modern classic

Alfa returns to the roadster segment with the rebirth of the classic Spider nameplate. Based on the sexy Brera coupe, this new Spider brings back the glory of original Alfa Spider where it now gains an electric canvas roof and in this latest version of the roadster and Alfa’s new 1750 TBi turbocharged powerplant.

To appreciate the Alfa Romeo Spider 1750TBi properly is to understand it’s not a all out sports car and instead it is a softer and easier to manage roadster like the Mazda MX5 and the Honda S2000.
The new greener and more efficient 1750 TBi engine is used with good intentions. A beautifully sculpted machine, the Alfa Romeo Spider 1750TBi is impossible to overlook. Classically proportioned lines and unmistakably Alfa in just about every way, it will look stunning wherever you park it. This Spider comes with a bespoke matte titanium paint job, 18-inch black turbine-style rims, lashings of carbon fibre and black leather upholstery with red stitching……just the way we like our cars to be. It is remarkably roomy for a roadster with a good size boot that, which has not been robbed by the roof mechanism and allows for a decent couples weekend away.

The classy dash and console are essentially lifted from the 159 with the same feeling of being very well put together. Dials directed exclusively at the driver, racy red illumination and ample application of animal hide suit the lusty Spider down to the tarmac.
